Charity Work

Charity is at the forefront of all that we do at Holt Executive. As a business, we believe everyone should share our passion and commitment to giving back and helping improve the lives of others who need it. Put simply; if you can, you should.

We are an energetic bunch at Holt and whether it be fundraising, event sponsorship or offering volunteers, we’ve got it going-on all year round. From endurance challenges to plain comedy/stupid, we have one aim – to help both our local community and nationwide charities.

Our events not only benefit our chosen charities they’re also a great morale booster for our whole team who want to make a difference. We are also extremely proud to see our client’s engagement in supporting our work, whether it be national charity activities or direct with a child who requires voluntary funding.
On behalf of both ourselves and all of the charities we work with, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to everyone involved, supporting us.

Victoria Education Centre

In 2016 we launched our exciting new innovative charity campaign, devoted to helping the futures of children and young adults of VEC, a special day and residential school based in Poole, Dorset. Using proceeds from every placement fee from our clients, we buy and donate equipment to the school and its pupils.

Our partnership uniquely supports the Victoria Education Centre (VEC), which offers specialised, high-quality education, therapy, and care for young people aged 3-19. The school aims to be a centre where successful learning and high levels of achievement prepare children and young adults for fulfilling future lives.

Our candidates and clients love to see where their support goes, so we make every effort to provide an up to date ‘line of sight’ for all of our charity endeavours.

Make-A-Wish Foundation

Founded in 1980 Make a Wish grants magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. Ambassador to the charity and Manging Director of Holt Recruitment, Stuart Holt proudly supports the charity with their volunteering opportunities, events and challenges. The children’s wishes are varied, personal and most importantly magical. Stuart feels extremely privileged to be involved in the amazing work of this incredible charity.

This trike is the business!! I think it’s fair to say we were sad to see it go. We carefully loaded the awesome Rifton Trike into our Managing Director’s VW for delivery to the children at VEC. This shiny blue, puncture proof tricycle is an absolute must for the children with significant mobility issues. We just wish we’d all been allowed a go on it before it went! These genius adaptive Trikes are not only a load of fun, they have great medical and health benefits by helping strengthen lower body and legs as well as improving spatial awareness and co-ordination; and can boost confidence and self-esteem! Our first donation has been received and we couldn’t be happier. Sleep is virtually currency in our busy lives and we are so happy to donate a special sleep system, known as the ‘Dreama 24 hour positioning system’ which is now providing young student Joanne with a better quality of sleep and rest thanks to its comfortable and supportive full depth, pressure reducing mattress. Joanne has recently undergone major surgery and we feel absolutely privileged to have the opportunity to aid in her recovery with this donation. Sweet dreams Joanne!

Holt Executive In House Charity Events

Many make the claim but there really never is a dull moment here at Holt HQ. There is always an event, sporting activity or some general silliness going on making new memories in the name of charity.
From the UK’s most iconic events through to a good old pie-eating contest at the office, if it’s a good idea and we can raise some cash for charity – we’re UP FOR IT.

Take a look at some of our previous efforts…

Creativity and determination at its finest. After months of training and losing 3 stone in weight, our very own Ross Goode raised over a thousand pounds to get thrashed and then put all the weight back on. On a cloudy Friday, the best way to brighten things up is to competitively stuff your face into some pastry. No Practice, no rules, just a race to the finish.
Extremely likely that this will be renamed ‘The Annual Cherry Pie Eating Contest’

Raising extra dosh for our donation to the well-loved Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day appeal. (There was also a very real prospect that we’d land him in hot water with Mrs Gosling.) Quality.
Our longest-running tradition, the Bournemouth Echo Toy Appeal. Donating toward ensuring no child goes without a gift at Christmas. Thankfully we didn’t have to do any wrapping!
