Holt Executive are partnered with an innovative and leading design and manufacturing business that specialises in electro-optics and supplies into a variety of markets across the globe. Due to continued growth, they have an immediate requirement for a Junior Test Engineer at their Wokingham site.

The successful Junior Test Engineer will have good understanding and experience of basic electronics and software experience and embrace a willingness to learn and develop themselves. Our partner is a small batch manufacturer and there will be some duplication, but this opportunity will not become repetitive.

Key Responsibilities for the Junior Test Engineer:
  • Undertake test of electronic hardware in a low volume and prototyping manufacturing environment.
  • Undertake software and system integration test.
  • Operation of an environmental test chamber.
  • Create test procedures in consultation with design engineers.
  • Installation of operating systems (Linux and Windows).
  • Fault finding, debugging and resolution of issues.
  • Checking that all work meets quality and technical standards.
  • Occasional visits to customer sites to support equipment setting to work and field service.
 Skills and Experience for the Junior Test Engineer:
  • HNC or equivalent in electronics (Studying towards is acceptable).
  • Ability to write comprehensive test plans and test procedures.
  • Computer Literate and competent with using Microsoft Word and Excel package.
  • Experience of both Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience of software test.
  • An understanding of video, both analogue and digital formats.
  • Highly organised and methodical approach, with an eye for detail.

Security Clearance Requirements:
