An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced satellite ground segment specialist to lead the development and deployment of advanced Gateway Earth Station (GES) infrastructure within a next-generation LEO constellation programme.
This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for end-to-end ownership of gateway earth station deployment including Ka-band tracking antennas, S-band feeder-link gateways for direct-to-device (D2D) services, RF and baseband infrastructure, and high-availability power and cooling systems. The successful candidate will act as the technical authority across site selection, civil works, gateway integration, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.
You will play a critical role in shaping the evolution of next-generation NTN communications capability, supporting nationwide gateway rollout, Ka-band rain-fade mitigation strategies, and resilient ground segment infrastructure for advanced satellite broadband and D2D services.
Key Responsibilities • Lead end-to-end deployment of gateway earth station infrastructure from site survey through commissioning and operational handover.
• Manage civil works, utility integration, and construction activities across Phase 1 gateway deployment sites.
• Procure and integrate Ka-band tracking antennas, gateway RF systems, and baseband communications equipment.
• Build and commission S-band feeder-link gateway infrastructure supporting NTN and D2D communications services.
• Design gateway diversity and switching strategies for monsoon rain-fade mitigation and high-availability operations.
• Deliver resilient power and cooling infrastructure including UPS systems, DG backup, and redundancy planning to 99.999% availability targets.
Essential Skills & Experience • 12+ years’ experience in earth station deployment, RF infrastructure, or satellite ground segment engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Ka-band LEO tracking antennas and gateway systems.
• Track record delivering multi-site civil and RF infrastructure programmes within regulated timelines.
• Experience operating earth station infrastructure in tropical or monsoon environments.
• Familiarity with WPC, SACFA, and earth station licensing processes is preferred.
• Bachelor’s or postgraduate qualification in RF Engineering, Antenna Engineering, Telecommunications, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
