Holt Executive are partnered with a leading Global Satellite Operator that provides reliable and secure satellite-delivered voice and high-speed data communications solutions to broadcast, telecommunications, corporate and government customers worldwide. Their Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network will revolutionize global broadband connectivity.
We have an exciting opportunity a Mission Assurance Director to play a vital role in the support and coordination of all Mission Assurance Activities for this LEO satellite network.
Key Responsibilities for the Mission Assurance Director:
- Design and provide the vision of how the program will achieve mission success.
- Coordinate all mission assurance activities for the program.
- Plan and manage the mission assurance Organization.
- Develop and maintain a system for managing processes critical to mission success as well as processes for program quality.
- You will oversee and manage the mission assurance team, providing the team strategy to meet company objectives.
- You will motivate the team and provide guidance, career development, and mentorship.
- Risk Management.
- Quality and nonconformance reporting, corrective and preventive action, supplier assurance, software assurance, operations quality.
- Reviews, audits, and investigations.
Key Skills and Experience for the Mission Assurance Director:
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering. A Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering Management is preferred.
- 15+ years’ experience in engineering development involving both hardware and software, preferably working in communications or satellites.
- At least 5 years’ experience as a manager with Mission Assurance experience.
- Experience assessing technical statuses and issues in hardware, software, and operations.
- Strong expertise in failure and anomaly investigation, corrective action, preventive action, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to communicate with engineers, internal and external stakeholders, and senior management.
- Ability to convey status and issues clearly, concisely, and accurately.
- Proven organizational skills.
- A team player, that is collaborative and independently driven.
- High-level of expertise with Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Project, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint, and Atlassian tools: Jira, Confluence.
