Our partner is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join their Global IT team in Germany. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth operation of their network infrastructure across data centres and regional locations within the group.
Key Responsibilities for the Network Engineer:
- Responsible for the continuous development and expansion of our existing network infrastructure, including UTMs, firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and leased lines, as well as their documentation.
- Assist in the development, planning, and implementation of customer-specific projects.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support, helping your colleagues address customer inquiries.
- Manage the globally networked communication systems.
Key Skills and Experience Required by the Network Engineer:
- Completed an apprenticeship in IT or have gained professional experience in network administration.
- Possess strong knowledge in network administration and planning, particularly in WAN, LAN, WLAN, VPN, routers, switches, firewalls, and UTMs.
- Have hands-on experience with Cisco network components and certifications such as CCNA or CCNP.
- Familiarity with Cisco CUBE and, ideally, experience with BGP.
- Knowledgeable about technologies like MS Windows Server, MS Hyper-V, HPE servers and switches, VoIP, SBC, DNS, email flow, and SSL certificates.
- You have a good knowledge of both German and English.
- Willing to undergo German Security Clearance.
- You are communicative, assertive, and confident in your abilities.
