Holt Executive are partnered with a leading Design and Manufacturing business that specialises in electro-optics and supply into a variety of markets across the globe. Our partner has an immediate requirement for a Production Controller to join their team in Horsham.

The successful incumbent will be an experienced Production Controller and will be responsible for their own projects but also prepared to support others within the team. 

This exciting opportunity involves communicating across a highly dynamic and fast paced business therefore the successful Production Controller must be agile in their approach and able to respond quickly to changes within the market.

Key Responsibilities for the Production Controller:

  • Take Sales Order Information to generate Production Requirements and Planning.
  • Establish Purchasing and Production needs to achieve time and cost criteria for each project.
  • Planning overall manufacturing requirements on a multi project basis.
  • Organising kitting for shop-built assemblies ensuring kits are in a suitable state for manufacture.
  • Organising purchase of necessary components with the Supply Chain Department.
  • Progressing Purchasing and if necessary, Suppliers to achieve timely delivery of goods.
  • Organising delivery documentation with the export Department, ensuring all customer order requirements are met.
  • Liaise with Production/Manufacturing Engineering on manufacturing procedures and problems.
  • Assist with the planning of the internal Machine Shop.
  • Assist with the generation of new procedure, methods, and flow diagrams for the MRP system.
  • Ensure that all documentation is in accordance with BS EN9001.

Key Skills & Experience for the Production Controller:

  • Experience of working with an MRP/ERP system.
  • Have a manufacturing background.
  • Highly focussed with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Apply a logical, systematic approach and good judgment in decision making processes.
