We are seeking a Senior Electrical CAD Engineer to take a leading role in the design, development, and lifecycle management of complex PCB assemblies for advanced communication and electronic systems.

This is a high-impact position where you will drive PCB architecture strategy, define design standards, and work across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performance hardware solutions. You will also play a key role in mentoring engineers and introducing automation and advanced design methodologies.

As a senior member of the hardware engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering high-complexity, multi-layer PCB solutions while ensuring performance, manufacturability, and scalability.

You will work closely with hardware, mechanical, RF, and firmware teams to solve complex integration challenges and support products from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead PCB architecture for high-density, multi-layer designs, including stack-up definition and component placement
  • Own complex schematic capture and translate system requirements into functional hardware designs
  • Perform and oversee design validation including DRC, signal integrity (SI), and power integrity (PI) analysis
  • Define and maintain design standards, component libraries, and CAD best practices
  • Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Assembly (DFA), and Test (DFT) to ensure production readiness
  • Develop and implement automation tools (Python-based) to improve design efficiency and workflows
  • Collaborate across hardware, mechanical, RF, and firmware teams to resolve integration and EMI challenges
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects

Required Experience

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in complex PCB design and electrical engineering (typically 6+ years)
  • Strong expertise with Cadence Allegro/OrCAD or similar ECAD tools
  • Deep understanding of high-speed digital design, RF routing, and power systems
  • Experience with EMI/EMC mitigation and design constraints
  • Proficiency in Python for engineering automation
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with DFM analysis tools and high-volume manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with alternative CAD tools (Altium, Siemens Xpedition, KiCAD)
  • Exposure to AI/ML-driven design workflows or automation
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on improving design processes and standards

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary and performance-related bonus
  • Comprehensive healthcare, dental, and vision coverage
  • Retirement plan with employer contribution
  • Generous annual leave and flexible time off
  • Professional development and career progression opportunities
  • Collaborative, engineering-led environment with cutting-edge projects
  • On-site facilities including gym access and modern workspace
  • Regular team and social events

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of complex hardware design challenges, influence engineering standards, and contribute to the development of advanced, high-performance systems in a fast-paced environment.
