Holt Executive are delighted to be partnered with Marlink to support a critical Solutions / Pre Sales Engineering hire.

The Solutions / Pre Sales Engineer will be a crucial contributor within the Global Solutions Engineering team, being the in-country lead for Solution / Pre Sales Architecture. You will support the Sales teams with technical discussions whilst collaborate with Engineering teams and product developers to find better customer solutions.

Key Responsibilities for the Solutions / Pre Sales Engineer:

  • Execute proof of concepts to validate both technical capability and customer value
  • Act as the technical lead, driving customer solutions internally across Engineering, Product, Sales and Pricing teams
  • Coordinate with external vendors where required to support solution delivery
  • Own the technical preparation of quotations and proposals, including architecture, design and customer presentations
  • Develop high-level solution designs aligned with customer needs and business objectives
  • Create bespoke technical and commercial solutions, with a focus on Cyber Security, IT & Cloud, and IoT

Key Requirements for the Solutions / Pre Sales Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong ability to understand complex technical environments and build holistic solution approaches
  • Proven experience in Pre-Sales or Solution Design (Cyber Security experience is highly desirable)
  • Background in connectivity, networking / SD-WAN, IT / IIoT, and managed or professional services
  • Proficiency in proposal writing, solution architecture/design, and customer-facing presentations
  • Fluent in German and English; additional languages are advantageous
  • Exposure to maritime, energy, humanitarian or government sectors is a plus
  • Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally
