Our client is experiencing impressive growth, doubling their revenue year on year, and is now seeking an experienced Sales Leader to drive their continued expansion and success.
Key Objectives for the VP – Sales – Defence:
- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing sales team.
- Oversee the coordination and development of proposals, bids, and programs, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Drive a structured, strategic sales approach to seize opportunities as they arise, ensuring all sales efforts are aligned and executed in an organized, efficient manner.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration across the business, optimizing sales processes and strategies.
Key Experience and Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in the Defence or Security sectors, with a deep understanding of the industry’s dynamics.
- Proven track record of leading and closing deals valued between M – 0M.
- Strong negotiation skills with a keen ability to influence key stakeholders and close high-value sales.
- Excellent mentoring and coaching abilities, empowering team members to grow and succeed.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing both people and processes, with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
- A listener and communicator – able to balance strategic vision with team engagement and feedback.
- Nice to have: Military or Army background, bringing valuable insight into the Defence sector.
