Founder Founder
I always wanted to work somewhere that was professional and hardworking, but where they still placed an emphasis on having fun at work; I couldn’t find one, so I built one. I’m happy to say I genuinely think everyone that works for this company enjoys coming to work, and for me, that is what it is all about.
I still like to keep my hand in on the actual recruitment side of the business. The idea is to lead from the front but I have to admit the team are starting to beat me to the top of the league table.
I love to travel and having spent five years living and travelling in some very random places; from a Lion Sanctuary in Zimbabwe to the Snowy Mountains of New Zealand; I like to think I have so far made the most of life.

Daniel Barrett

I began my career as a B2B Marketer in the Telecom and Services sector, collaborating with international companies such as Vodafone and British Telecom. In 2014, I transitioned to the world of recruitment, leveraging my valuable insights from the Telecoms Sector.
My dedication to my work led me to a pivotal opportunity in 2016 – building The Holt Recruitment Group’s new Executive Recruitment department. Since then, Holt Executive has evolved into a top-tier player in the recruitment landscape, specialising in the Space, SATCOM, Aerospace & Defence, and Aviation sectors.
As a Director at Holt Executive, my responsibilities focus on building strong client relationships, advancing business development initiatives, and connecting exceptional candidates with leading organisations across the World.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of partnering with a diverse range of clients in the industry, ranging from established industry leaders to innovative startups.
My Specialism

Julie Hyam

Up until September 2023, I spent my entire career working ‘client-side’, initially establishing myself in core HR positions. My career journey then took me into the Early in Career hiring, where I successfully launched and managed graduate and apprenticeship programs for major STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) organisations.
When the opportunity arose to delve into broader resourcing, I eagerly accepted the challenge and, over the past few years, I’ve been at the forefront of developing and leading Talent functions, offering operational expertise and strategic direction.
It was during my tenure at a leading SATCOM provider that I developed a deep affection for the Space and Satellite sector. The rapid pace of innovation, brilliant minds driving the industry, and my intrinsic ‘geek’ curiosity all contributed to my passion for this field.

Later, I moved into sales and account management with a market-leading accountancy services provider.

After finishing school, I entered the world of football coaching at the age of 16. After working for several clubs such as Crawley Town Football Club, Brighton and Hove Albion FC, Chelsea FC and even coaching in America I entered the world of recruitment.
