I always wanted to work somewhere that was professional and hardworking, but where they still placed an emphasis on having fun at work; I couldn’t find one, so I built one. I’m happy to say I genuinely think everyone that works for this company enjoys coming to work, and for me, that is what it is all about.
I still like to keep my hand in on the actual recruitment side of the business. The idea is to lead from the front but I have to admit the team are starting to beat me to the top of the league table.
I love to travel and having spent five years living and travelling in some very random places; from a Lion Sanctuary in Zimbabwe to the Snowy Mountains of New Zealand; I like to think I have so far made the most of life.

Daniel Barrett

I began my career as a B2B Marketer in the Telecom and Services sector, collaborating with international companies such as Vodafone and British Telecom. In 2014, I transitioned to the world of recruitment, leveraging my valuable insights from the Telecoms Sector.
My dedication to my work led me to a pivotal opportunity in 2016 – building The Holt Recruitment Group’s new Executive Recruitment department. Since then, Holt Executive has evolved into a top-tier player in the recruitment landscape, specialising in the Space, SATCOM, Aerospace & Defence, and Aviation sectors.
As a Director at Holt Executive, my responsibilities focus on building strong client relationships, advancing business development initiatives, and connecting exceptional candidates with leading organisations across the World.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of partnering with a diverse range of clients in the industry, ranging from established industry leaders to innovative startups.
My Specialism
My expertise lies in placing senior talent across the Satellite, Space, Defence, and Aviation markets on a global scale. I primarily support roles in Bid Management, Commercial Management, Pre Sales, Sales/Account Management, and Legal.

My career started in Law where I worked, studied and progressed however I couldn’t find the love for it so I moved into practice management for law firms managing their compliance, HR and office management. From there I stepped into a more Operations focused role so headed back to school to gain further qualifications in HR to give me the ability to oversee all aspects of Operations from office management, compliance, legal and HR.

After graduating from university, I began my career managing pubs and boutique hotels across the UK. These roles gave me invaluable experience in leadership, customer service, and team development. I moved into sales and account management for a market-leading accountancy firm, where I worked with a wide range of clients and developed a strong commercial acumen.
Motivated by a passion for technology, I made the transition into technical recruitment. I saw an opportunity to combine my commercial background, relationship-building skills, and genuine enthusiasm for supporting others into a rewarding and long-term career.
