Their solutions span tactical grade, Coriolis vibratory gyroscopes and navigation grade, quartz servo accelerometers for a range of industries, including Space, Aerospace, Marine, Energy, Industrial, Civil, and Transportation.
Our partner is seeking an FPGA Engineer to support with the specification and design of FPGA blocks.
Key Responsibilities for the FPGA Engineer:
- Specification and design of FPGA blocks.
- Creation of design documentation spanning FPGA requirements, specifications, design descriptions, and test specifications.
- Laboratory-based FPGA verification work, including system integration and testing.
- Supporting of existing FPGA design verification and board testing activities.
- Work cross-functionally with a multidisciplinary team on system architecture and design.
- Write, simulate, and verify VHDL based FPGA designs.
- Schematic, PCB Layout support, and reviews.
Key Skills & Experience for the FPGA Engineer:
- A Bachelor’s (and/or) Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering.
- Knowledge and experience of FPGA design flow; Verification, Synthesis, Partitioning, Place & Route, Timing Closure and Power Estimation.
- Knowledge of interface protocols, memory technologies and communication interfaces.
- Experience with electronic circuit & system design: analog, digital and power.
- Some knowledge of embedded systems and processor architectures.
- Experienced using laboratory equipment such as Oscilloscope, Signal Generator, Signal Analyser.
- Experience with tools such as SVN & Git
- Preferred experience with VHDL and ECSS-Q-ST-60-02 – ASIC & FPGA Development design flow for space projects.
- Strong hardware and system debugging skills.
- Proficient with scripting languages such as Python, and programming languages such as C/C++.
- Fluency in English (other languages are beneficial).
The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in Ireland.
