Holt Executive are working with a leading technology innovator servicing the global aviation industry, offering cutting edge products to some of the biggest names in commercial aviation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Contract Specialist to join their highly skilled team and provide support in all aspects of commercial risk and contract management.
The successful Junior Contract Specialist will provide functional support to the Commercial Training Solutions operational divisions. You will be responsible for managing business risk, ensuring compliance to corporate policies and provide guidance on policies and processes. You will manage the approved supplier list, including auditing supplier compliance and identifying high risk suppliers to assist the Contracts Specialist in managing contract reviews, renewal requirements and support the bid process for new and recurring business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities for the Junior Contract Specialist:
- Taking responsibility for commercial and contracts administration.
- Taking ownership of new commercial contract negotiations as required, working with sales and operational teams to bid for new business, win the business and secure the contract.
- Participating in business improvement projects and identify new initiatives that deliver the business goals.
- Working with sales and operations to build relationships with existing and new customers and maintain high levels of customer engagement.
Knowledge and skills required for the Junior Contract Specialist:
- Educated to Degree level in a relevant discipline or have 2 years’ experience in a relevant role.
- Solid understanding of commercial practices, ability to draft contracts and contract amendments, contractual letters.
- Exposure to risk management, including the application and interpretation of contract terms for customer and suppler contracts.
- Sound knowledge of contractual terms and conditions (including limits of liability and IPR)
- Previous aviation training industry knowledge and experience would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given.
