About the Role: They are seeking a Senior Robotic Systems Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge robotic systems. This is a leadership role, guiding a diverse team through the design, implementation, and validation of robotic subsystems, and turning customer visions into groundbreaking technical solutions.

As the technical lead, you will be responsible for managing workflows, technical proposals, and system requirements, ensuring the highest engineering standards. You will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept to on-orbit validation, and act as the primary technical contact for customers and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Lead the full lifecycle development of space robotic systems, ensuring technical excellence.
  • Requirements Management: Develop, validate, and manage system requirements, maintaining traceability across all project levels.
  • System Design & Architecture: Drive the system architecture, managing technical trade-offs, high-level interfaces, and CONOPS.
  • Verification & Validation: Oversee system verification, create test plans, review procedures, and ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify, mitigate, and resolve technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Customer Liaison: Act as the primary technical point of contact, aligning project teams with customer expectations.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive program documentation for internal and external use.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Education: MSc in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in space systems engineering, with a focus on space robotics and mechanisms. Proven experience leading complex technical projects across full program lifecycles (Phase A to E).
  • Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of space systems, including structural, thermal, radiation, and EMI/EMC considerations. Hands-on experience with system design, development, and testing.
  • Tools & Standards: Familiarity with ECSS standards and systems engineering tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion, JAMA). Proficient in technical documentation and compliance with space industry standards.
  • Processes: Expertise in Systems Engineering processes, including requirements management, verification, and validation.
  • Software: Knowledge of SOLIDWORKS, ALTIUM, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Languages: Proficient in written and spoken English.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for managing customer relationships and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (SysML) and 3+ years working with JAMA.
  • Ability to coordinate efforts across multiple disciplines and time zones.
