Exciting opportunity for a Compliance Auditor!

Our client is a leading provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, specialising in supporting military, commercial, and private aviation customers worldwide. With facilities and a team of highly skilled professionals, they are committed to delivering excellence in aircraft maintenance and engineering solutions.

Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Compliance Auditor with experience in compliance and auditing in the Civil Aviation Industry or the equivalent. Experience will ideally have been gained within a Part 145 environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing independent compliance audits to support the Compliance Monitoring Plan
  • Assessing and auditing contracting and sub-contracting organisations for suitability to work under the Company Engineering Management System.
  • Supporting the Compliance Monitoring Manager in any matter related to ensurance of compliance of the organisation with the current regulatory requirements, including but not limited to:
  • Investigating, determining root causes and root cause corrections and elaborating reports to support closure of findings issued to the organisation by Customers or the Competent Authority.
  • Supporting the Compliance Department Team with professional advice related to compliance matters.
  • Preparation and revision of the Company MOE and associated TPMs ensuring their compliance with Part 145 and other relevant regulations.
  • Preparing and delivering training to staff as part of the company internal training programme, as agreed with the Compliance Monitoring Manager.

The Successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience auditing ideally within Part 145 or Aviation environment.
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to conduct internal and external audits.
  • Have the ability and confidence to communicate at all levels and work effectively with all personnel.
  • Have experience and knowledge of EASA/CAA regulations and Management systems.

This role offers the opportunity to work across the full system lifecycle, from concept through to design, integration, and in-service support, on projects that directly support national and global security operations.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead systems engineering activities, from technical planning and requirements management to verification and validation.
  • Analyse system performance across concept, design, testing, installation, and operations phases.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to interpret operational needs and translate them into system requirements.
  • Conduct trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definitions.
  • Support complex project and task management across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Help shape operational documentation and ensure engineering solutions meet technical, schedule, and cost expectations.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Degree in Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
  • 6+ years’ experience in systems engineering, with knowledge of the full development lifecycle.
  • Strong background in requirements management and systems architecture.
  • Skilled in documentation, reporting, and technical communications.
  • Experience with tools like DOORS, Innoslate, or equivalent.
  • Awareness of CAD, CFD, and FEA tools and regulatory compliance processes (e.g. MAA, DAOEs) is an advantage.
  • Comfortable providing mentoring or coaching to less experienced engineers.

Desirable Experience:

  • Background in aerospace, defence, or mission-critical system environments.
  • Exposure to IPS/ILS (Integrated Product or Logistics Support).
  • Experience in supporting Certificate of Design and regulatory approvals.

Our Client, a leader in aircraft maintenance, are are currently seeking dedicated and experienced B1 Licensed Engineers to join their growing team working on Base Maintenance in Hampshire. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring the airworthiness of customers’ aircraft, performing maintenance tasks, and conducting inspections in compliance with regulatory standards and company procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on a variety of aircraft types, including inspections, repairs, and modifications, in accordance with approved data and regulations.
  • Perform troubleshooting and fault diagnosis to identify and rectify defects in aircraft systems, avionics, and components.
  • Carry out aircraft certification and release to service activities as a B1 Licensed Engineer, ensuring all work is completed to the required standards and documentation is accurately maintained.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel, engineers, and support staff to achieve efficient workflow and minimize downtime for aircraft.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working on multiple aircraft types, with particular proficiency in one or more of the following: Boeing, Airbus, Beechcraft.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, avionics, and powerplants, with the ability to interpret technical manuals and drawings.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with a meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
