Senior Systems Engineer – Aerospace
Are you a systems engineering professional looking to work on mission-critical aerospace systems? We’re hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to join a high-performing team developing advanced release systems used across some of the world’s most prominent military aircraft platforms.
This role offers the opportunity to work across the full system lifecycle, from concept through to design, integration, and in-service support, on projects that directly support national and global security operations.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead systems engineering activities, from technical planning and requirements management to verification and validation.
- Analyse system performance across concept, design, testing, installation, and operations phases.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to interpret operational needs and translate them into system requirements.
- Conduct trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definitions.
- Support complex project and task management across multidisciplinary teams.
- Help shape operational documentation and ensure engineering solutions meet technical, schedule, and cost expectations.
What You’ll Bring:
- Degree in Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
- 5+ years’ experience in systems engineering, with knowledge of the full development lifecycle.
- Strong background in requirements management and systems architecture.
- Experience with ILS (Integrated Logistic Support) and/or reliability.
- Skilled in documentation, reporting, and technical communications.
- Experience with tools like DOORS, Innoslate, or equivalent.
- Awareness of CAD, CFD, and FEA tools and regulatory compliance processes (e.g. MAA, DAOEs) is an advantage.
- Comfortable providing mentoring or coaching to less experienced engineers.
Desirable Experience:
- Background in aerospace, defence, or mission-critical system environments.
- Exposure to IPS/ILS (Integrated Product or Logistics Support).
- Experience in supporting Certificate of Design and regulatory approvals.

System Engineer (Integration and Test)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Systems Engineer, focussed on Integration & Test, to join a team developing advanced flight simulation systems used by pilot training operations around the world.
You will play a key role in system integration, verification, and validation, ensuring these complex simulators meet rigorous operational standards and customer requirements. This is a hands-on position at the heart of a major transformation programme, ideal for someone who is highly motivated, customer-focused, and eager to implement change.
Key Responsibilities
System Integration
- Lead the integration of hardware and software subsystems into cohesive flight simulation systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and execute integration procedures.
- Diagnose and resolve integration issues, optimizing system configurations for performance and reliability.
Verification & Validation
- Define and execute test plans to verify functionality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop and conduct test procedures to validate the accuracy and reliability of flight simulation systems.
- Produce detailed reports on test results, deviations, and corrective actions.
Customer Acceptance
- Act as the primary point of contact during customer acceptance phases.
- Conduct system demonstrations and customer-specific tests to secure final approval.
- Provide expert guidance and support throughout the acceptance process.
Issue Resolution
- Respond to issues identified during testing or customer feedback.
- Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and technical support to resolve complex system problems quickly.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, or a related field (Master’s a plus).
- Strong understanding of flight simulation systems and components.
- Proficiency in system integration, hardware/software interfaces, and performance testing.
- Experience with simulation tools and platforms (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, RTOS).
- Familiarity with standards such as DO-178C and DO-254.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical/problem-solving abilities.
Desirable
- Experience with Full Flight Simulators, Flight Training Devices, or other simulation environments.
- Customer-facing experience in system acceptance and post-delivery support.
- INCOSE Systems Engineering training or certification.
- Knowledge of commercial and/or military flight simulation regulations.

Systems Test Engineer (RF/Antenna)
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Systems Test Engineer to support the development of cutting-edge phased array antenna technology for both airborne and land-mobile applications. This role offers the chance to work with highly complex systems that integrate RF subsystems, communications chains, power and control electronics, HW/SW integration, and mechanical structures. You’ll work in a multidisciplinary, international environment with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement system verification strategies, test plans, procedures, and reports
- Create and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing processes
- Execute manual and automated test cases, analyse results, and report issues
- Collaborate with design teams to reproduce and resolve technical problems
- Ensure system testing strategies meet technical and customer requirements
- Document testing phases, defects, and contribute to improving processes
- Assess system performance under varying conditions, including stress and scalability testing
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Stay up to date with testing tools and methodologies to enhance effectiveness
- Provide feedback to improve product design, functionality, and performance
- Participate in review meetings to present test results to project stakeholders
Requirements:
- MSc in Engineering (Telecommunications, Electronics, Automation, Microtechnology, or related fields)
- Experience or strong interest in active Antenna, RF, and Digital Systems
- Previous industry experience, particularly with airborne applications, is highly desirable
- Swiss or EU (27) citizenship
