The Business Development Manager will support the strategic planning and the leadership of bids and proposals for both the US Government and commercial markets. Working closely with the engineering team, you will build and maintain relationships and spot opportunities for expansion through technology demonstrations of real robotic systems in both terrestrial and space environments.
Key Responsibilities for the Business Development Manager:
- Developing and executing key and innovative business strategies for the space and defense industries.
- Run in-depth market research, including hypothesis setting, market surveys, and quantitative/qualitative analysis.
- Be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in NASA, DoD, other US government agencies, and commercial space companies.

2nd Line Support
Holt Executive are exclusively supporting a global provider of lifesaving/innovative connectivity solutions that connect people and assets around the globe, including in remote and challenging environments.
They are seeking a 2nd Line Support to maximise service availability. This role involves actively monitoring network and system performance and responding to any degradation or outages. The business services include maritime distress systems and global IP backbone networks. You will be responsible for initiating, coordinating, logging, and reporting all restoration activities.
This 2nd Line Support opportunity requires working a 24×7 shift rotation, averaging 37 hours per week. You must be willing to relocate to Burum, Netherlands, or live within a reasonable commuting distance, with access to your own car.
Key Responsibilities for the 2nd Line Support:
- Continuously monitor system performance and initiate recovery actions in response to hazardous conditions, service degradation, or outages.
- Track the progress of distress traffic within the network and ensure timely delivery to Maritime Rescue and Coordination Centres (MRCC).
- Monitor various IP networks for security threats and perform initial analysis.
- Review system log files and conduct regular system and service checks to ensure reliability.
- Communicate planned and unplanned activities to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide second-line technical support to customers.

- Working closely with other segments and teams on multiple key system aspects including end-to-end communication, network entry, service availability, and satellite payload power consumption management.

Key Responsibilities for the Hardware Reliability Engineer:
- Reliability testing and analysis of satellite user terminal and landing station hardware components and systems.
- Requirements definition for Mean Time Before Failure at component level.
- Develop and execute reliability test plans, including environmental stress testing, accelerated life testing, and failure mode analysis (FMA).
- Work with design engineers to identify potential reliability issues and implement design improvements based on test results.
- Statistical analysis of test data to evaluate product reliability, predict failures, and recommend enhancements.

Key Skills & Experience Required by the Hardware Reliability Engineer:

- 10+ years of experience in hardware reliability engineering, ideally in the satellite communication or aerospace industries.
- Experience in reliability testing methodologies such as HALT, HASS, FMEA, and environmental testing.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 or DO-160 is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical analysis tools.
- Familiarity with reliability prediction software (e.g., ReliaSoft, Relex, Windchill) is advantageous.
