Holt Executive are partnered with an innovative IT solutions company that develops spacecraft software and IT systems and provides Earth observation service.
They require a Systems Engineer to outline the technical specifications of the ground control system, ensuring it meets the specific needs of the space mission.
Key Responsibilities for the Systems Engineer:
- Define ground segment specifications and analyse interfaces including flight elements.
- Participate in the ground segment definition and design.
- Define integration and validation plans at a system level.
- Drive trade-off analysis and propose technical choices.
- Collaborate with our customers to find the perfect solutions for their needs.
- Interact with space agencies, customers, and sub-contractors in exciting space projects.
- Iterate with the software development team.
Key Skills and Experience for the Systems Engineer:
- Master’s degree in one of the following fields: Aerospace Engineering, computer science, Physics Engineering, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in system and/or software engineering in a similar technical environment. A few years of experience in project management is also an advantage.
- A solid knowledge of technical English.
- An interest in the space sector.
- Knowledge and experience with a number of the ground segment applicable IT programming languages or technologies such as Python, Java, Micro-services architecture, Cloud technology.
- An experience in space mission ground systems is a real asset.
