2nd Line Support
Holt Executive are exclusively supporting a global provider of lifesaving/innovative connectivity solutions that connect people and assets around the globe, including in remote and challenging environments.
They are seeking a 2nd Line Support to maximise service availability. This role involves actively monitoring network and system performance and responding to any degradation or outages. The business services include maritime distress systems and global IP backbone networks. You will be responsible for initiating, coordinating, logging, and reporting all restoration activities.
This 2nd Line Support opportunity requires working a 24×7 shift rotation, averaging 37 hours per week. You must be willing to relocate to Burum, Netherlands, or live within a reasonable commuting distance, with access to your own car.
Key Responsibilities for the 2nd Line Support:
- Continuously monitor system performance and initiate recovery actions in response to hazardous conditions, service degradation, or outages.
- Track the progress of distress traffic within the network and ensure timely delivery to Maritime Rescue and Coordination Centres (MRCC).
- Monitor various IP networks for security threats and perform initial analysis.
- Review system log files and conduct regular system and service checks to ensure reliability.
- Communicate planned and unplanned activities to both internal and external stakeholders.
