Solutions Engineer

The Solutions / Pre Sales Engineer will be a crucial contributor within the Global Solutions Engineering team, being the in-country lead for Solution / Pre Sales Architecture. You will support the Sales teams with technical discussions whilst collaborate with Engineering teams and product developers to find better customer solutions.
Key Responsibilities for the Solutions / Pre Sales Engineer:
- Execute proof of concepts to validate both technical capability and customer value
- Act as the technical lead, driving customer solutions internally across Engineering, Product, Sales and Pricing teams
- Coordinate with external vendors where required to support solution delivery
- Own the technical preparation of quotations and proposals, including architecture, design and customer presentations
- Develop high-level solution designs aligned with customer needs and business objectives
- Create bespoke technical and commercial solutions, with a focus on Cyber Security, IT & Cloud, and IoT
Key Requirements for the Solutions / Pre Sales Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong ability to understand complex technical environments and build holistic solution approaches
- Proven experience in Pre-Sales or Solution Design (Cyber Security experience is highly desirable)
- Background in connectivity, networking / SD-WAN, IT / IIoT, and managed or professional services
- Proficiency in proposal writing, solution architecture/design, and customer-facing presentations
- Fluent in German and English; additional languages are advantageous
- Exposure to maritime, energy, humanitarian or government sectors is a plus
- Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally
AWS Engineer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced AWS Engineer / AWS Systems Administrator to join a growing Global IT & Security team supporting a highly technical engineering organisation.
This role would suit someone from a systems administration background with strong exposure to DevOps principles, cloud infrastructure, and automation. You will work closely with engineering teams to understand their technical requirements and deliver robust, secure, and scalable solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.
Your primary focus will be the configuration, management, and ongoing maintenance of a growing AWS estate, alongside broader IT and infrastructure responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and maintain AWS environments, including VPCs, IAM, EC2, networking, and storage
- Support existing AWS-based projects and deploy new cloud infrastructure
- Implement automation and infrastructure as code using tools such as Ansible and Terraform
- Install and configure Linux and Windows virtual machines
- Proactively maintain, optimise, and support cloud and on-prem infrastructure
- Contribute to cost management, security patching, and compliance
- Support wider IT operations, including on-prem servers, SaaS platforms, and networking
- Perform backup and disaster recovery testing
Essential Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in a commercial IT or infrastructure role
- Strong experience managing Linux and Windows environments (build, deployment, software management, reporting)
- Experience with software deployment
- Configuration management and automation across Linux and Windows (e.g. scripting, Group Policy, Ansible)
- Hands-on AWS experience supporting live production environments (practitioner level or above)
- Networking fundamentals, including VPNs
- Familiarity with version control, ideally Git
- Proactive, self-starting, and able to work autonomously
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team
Desirable Skills
- Experience supporting CI/CD or QA pipelines
- Strong hands-on experience with Ansible and/or Terraform
- Broad foundational knowledge of Windows and Linux platforms

We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineering Specialist to join a systems engineering team working on a large-scale, technical space programme. This is a senior technical role suited to an engineer with deep experience in systems of systems, ideally within networking, aerospace, defence, or other large, distributed infrastructures.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining and refining system-level architectures, interface documentation, and technical performance budgets, ensuring requirements are robust, traceable, and aligned across multiple engineering disciplines as the programme progresses through critical design milestones.
You will work within a multidisciplinary systems engineering environment, collaborating closely with system architects, hardware, software, network, and ground infrastructure engineers. The focus is on system performance analysis, requirements allocation, and interface definition across a complex, end-to-end system. This position offers significant technical influence on system design and integration.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in Canada and able to obtain Reliability Clearance.
