An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Telecommunications Engineer to join a leading provider of maritime electronics, supporting vessels across the ARA region.

You’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of maritime navigation and communication systems onboard vessels. In addition, you’ll guide and support junior engineers, ensuring high-quality service delivery and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned equipment checks, maintenance, Radio Surveys, and VDR APTs in line with IMO and Class Authority standards
  • Carry out refit and retrofit jobs, including commissioning and participation in sea trials
  • Mentor and support Junior Engineers to develop technical skills
  • Drive high first-time fix rates and maintain productivity targets
  • Act as a technical advisor to customers, supporting sales where required
  • Collaborate with the wider technical team to share knowledge and best practices
  • Stay updated through regular training on new technologies

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with maritime navigation and communication systems
  • Product knowledge of leading navigation and communications brands
  • Basic understanding of ship networks
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills
  • Fluent in Dutch and English (verbal and written)
  • Proactive, flexible, and able to travel within the ARA region
  • Valid Passport and Driver’s Licence (VCA and IRATA certifications preferred)

Our partner is seeking a Senior OSS/BSS Application Specialist to play a vital role in the administration, configuration, and support of the OSS/BSS suite.

This position can offer remote working with limited onsite visits (6 times per year). The successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and be able to obtain Reliability Clearance.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior OSS/BSS Application Specialist:

  • Configure, customize, and maintain OSS/BSS modules such as order management, inventory management, service fulfillment, and billing.

  • 3+ years of experience in the support and/or implementation of Netcracker OSS/BSS applications.
  • A strong understanding of telecom business processes (order to cash, service provisioning, customer lifecycle management).
  • Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL), as well as UNIX/Linux environments, and shell scripting.
  • Some experience with integration technologies including SOAP/REST APIs, XML, and middleware platforms.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices and experience using ITSM tools.
  • Experience with network inventory and resource modeling within Netcracker.
  • knowledge of DevOps practices and tools is a bonus.
