Our partner is seeking a Quality Assurance/Product Assurance Engineer to support the design and implementation of their QMS, development of processes from production to manufacturing, and to work closely with suppliers and customers to ensure quality of their products.   

Key Responsibilities for the Quality Assurance/Product Assurance Engineer:

  • Responsible for the design and implementation of a robust Quality Management System (QMS) encompassing all aspects of the product lifecycle—from development through manufacturing and supporting functions—to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain effective governance structures to oversee quality processes, while actively contributing to a clean, lean, and efficient production environment.
  • Foster strong, long-term relationships with suppliers by streamlining internal quality processes and performing audits as needed.
  • Develop and apply relevant performance metrics and control strategies to monitor and enhance product and process quality.
  • Ensure the QMS is clearly documented and accessible, supporting organization-wide understanding through targeted documentation and employee training initiatives.

Key Skills & Experience for the Quality Assurance/Product Assurance Engineer:

  • Holds a degree in engineering or possesses equivalent experience through a proven track record in technical roles.
  • Brings solid experience in systems engineering methodologies and recognized industry best practices, with a strong foundation in Lean principles.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally within a high-tech or aerospace environment.
  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration, with a demonstrated ability to influence and manage stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and organizational change.
  • Combines meticulous attention to detail with a strategic, big-picture mindset.
  • Proactive in raising concerns and offering constructive challenges when appropriate.
  • Strong active listening and communication skills.
  • Capable of prioritizing effectively in line with broader organizational goals.
  • Fluent in English; additional language skills, particularly Dutch, are advantageous.

Additional preferred experience:

  • Solid understanding of systems engineering lifecycles, with particular relevance to high-reliability sectors such as aerospace or defense.
  • Experience in the selection and documentation of Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical (EEE) components.
  • Proven ability to implement and maintain component traceability throughout the development and production process.
  • Familiar with auditing subcontractors to ensure compliance with technical and quality standards.
  • Previous experience working within an ISO 9001-certified environment.
  • Hands-on involvement in the qualification of complex technical systems, ideally within space or similarly regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Electrical Engineer:

  • Work with the wider electrical team, and with partner engineers to develop next-generation avionics for LEO and GEO spacecraft.
  • Design, architect, and develop space hardware from concept through testing and delivery.
  • Play a role in part/component selection and radiation tests at US and European facilities for IC and board-level tests.
  • Creation of radiation test circuits for IC-level tests.
  • Board bring-up and debugging using lab equipment.
  • Test set ups at both board and satellite levels for functional, integration, and environmental testing.
  • The design of harnesses, harness drawings, and work with third parties and vendors on procurement.
  • Interface with contract manufacturers for PCB fabrication, board assembly, harness builds, and box-level builds.
