The successful Senior Electronics Engineer will be responsible for proactively developing innovative electronics while providing valuable leadership to the team.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Electronics Engineer:

  • Provide expertise in circuit design, components, and PCB technology.
  • Working in technology areas of EMC, Power Management, Servo Control, processor interfacing and communications.
  • Provide expertise in the realms of power and signal transmission over wired medium with the ability to define and objectively review an overall architecture, including power management, system wiring and knowledge of production processes.
  • Hold a pivotal role within a project and set the standards of good engineering practice, leading by example, and being seen as an expert in their given field.

Key Skills and Experience for the Senior Electronics Engineer:

Essential

  • Strong degree in a related discipline accredited by the IET. Typically, 6 years of relevant experience is expected.
  • Proven experience in leading and/or supervising projects or people for routine and non-routine work.
  • Solid all-round theoretical and practical understanding of electrical and electronic designs
  • Ability to complete analysis-based activities i.e. (circuit emulation, performance, or power budgets).
  • Ability to assess and highlight key project risks, schedules, and mitigations and identify critical design activities.
  • Overall awareness of the full project lifecycle ranging from opportunity/bid development through to continuing customer support.
  • A proven track record of innovation-based approaches to all aspects of engineering/leadership.
  • Ability to investigate and fault-find technical problems at PCB or system level, with the capability to identify root causes or procedural reforms.
  • Accredited as a Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership.
  • Embedded Software Design, including ARM/KEIL.

Our partner is seeking a talented real-time embedded software engineer to join their team as a Flight Software Verification & Validation Engineer.

The Flight Software Verification & Validation Engineer will play a critical role in verifying and validating the real-time software for revolutionary orbital debris missions. This is your chance to be at the forefront of space exploration and contribute to a cleaner, safer future for our planet.

Key Responsibilities for the Flight Software Verification & Validation Engineer:

  • Conduct rigorous flight software verification, validation, and integration to ensure flawless performance.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement comprehensive plans for thorough flight software testing.
  • Set up and manage diverse testing platforms to rigorously evaluate software functionality.
  • Support all testing phases, including non-functional and automated regression testing, to identify and address potential issues.
  • Find and implement the best test equipment and techniques to maximize flight software testing effectiveness.
  • Co-ordinate with other teams at sub-system and system level to identify test and integration needs.
  • Actively participate in mission system test and simulation campaigns.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer within the business, sharing your expertise and contributing to projects across the organization.

Key Skills & Experience required by the Flight Software Verification & Validation Engineer:

  • Possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant engineering/science discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in developing real-time embedded systems using C/C++.
  • Demonstrate 2-3 years of experience in verifying and validating real-time systems.
  • Have a proven record of creating test scripts and automated tests, with knowledge of scripting languages.
  • Possess solid understanding of software development methodologies and embedded software engineering.
  • Experience in implementing real-time systems and software.
  • Have experience in effectively executing test plans.
  • Experience with Python programming is advantageous.
