About You 

We’re looking for someone with: 

  • HNC, HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related discipline (equivalent practical experience will also be considered).  
  • Hands-on assembly and integration experience within space, aerospace, defence, automotive or another high-reliability environment.  
  • The ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.  
  • Experience working to controlled procedures and work instructions.  
  • Familiarity with precision measurement tools and torque-controlled assembly.  
  • Strong understanding of configuration control and hardware traceability.  
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.  
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.  
  • Eligibility for, or current holder of, UK SC security clearance.  

Desirable Experience 

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

About You

You will ideally have:

  • A BSc in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; MSc preferred.
  • 3–6 years’ experience supporting RF hardware in production or operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of RF components and subsystems, including LNAs, mixers, PLLs, PAs and filters.
  • Experience reviewing RF schematics and PCB layouts.
  • Familiarity with DVB physical-layer concepts and RF performance metrics.

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong hands-on experience developing software using Java within a real-time operational environment.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript and Node.js development.
  • Experience working with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Good understanding of IP networking and experience troubleshooting network issues using tools such as Wireshark or similar.
  • Experience working with event streaming technologies such as Kafka.
  • Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
  • Experience producing high-quality, maintainable, and reusable software within a collaborative engineering environment.
  • Understanding of object-oriented analysis, design principles, and common design patterns.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Awareness of software and network security best practices.
  • Experience producing clear technical documentation to support ongoing development and operational support.
