Key Responsibilities for the Business Development Manager – Tactical Solutions & Connectivity (Armed Forces):

  • Build and nurture connections with key military personnel and agencies in the region.
  • Design solutions that perfectly meet program needs by utilising the extensive portfolio of product and services.
  • Lead the development and execution of winning strategies to capture programs within the region.
  • Refine and maintain best practices for capturing new business opportunities.
  • Stay informed about defence funding, key government policies, and industry trends.
  • Empower stakeholders (end-users, acquisition authorities, OEMs) to succeed in their programs by providing support.
  • Respond effectively to Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs)/Tenders, and Requests for Quotes (RFQs).
  • Deliver reports that meet management expectations, following established procedures.
  • Ensure compliance by creating reports that adhere to Canadian (and regional) compliance and governance regulations.
  • Forge strategic partnerships with other companies in the region (as required).
  • Maintain relationships with Market Representatives and Support Agencies (as required).

Key Skills & Experience Required by the Business Development Manager – Tactical Solutions & Connectivity (Armed Forces):

Essential –

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sales and/or business experience is desirable.
  • 5+ years in Business Development/Sales/Marketing experience from Defence Industry
  • Experience working with large military contractors.
  • Proven ability to independently develop and determine approaches to solutions in a practical and creative manner.
  • Proven experience with marketing, managing bid development and providing oversight of project administration.

 
Desirable –

  • Strong technical sales background and ability to understand key terminology within the Telecommunication / Connectivity / Cyber space.
  • Understanding of the Government and Military Markets across Land, Sea, and Air domains.
  • Strong Understanding of the Telco marketplace would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Director, LEO Satellite Operations

  • Take a lead on the development of the operations concept for the constellation.
