Holt Executive are currently partnered with a leading global satellite operator, delivering secure voice and high-speed data communications to broadcast, telecom, corporate, and government customers around the world. Their Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network is set to revolutionize global broadband connectivity, and we’re supporting their search for a Configuration Management Specialist to join the team.

In this role, you’ll support a ground-breaking LEO satellite program, managing system configuration and documentation across hardware, software, and systems. You’ll work closely with the Systems Engineering and Integration, Verification & Validation teams, ensuring that the program’s technical baseline is fully traceable, documented, and audit-ready.

Key Responsibilities:

System Configuration Management

  • Maintain and control configuration baselines across HW and SW environments.
  • Act as the owner of all documentation defining configuration and verification status.
  • Track “as-built” configurations and enforce single-source-of-truth practices.
  • Use CM tools for configuration identification, control, status accounting, audits, and releases.
  • Collaborate with engineering and program teams to manage data integrity.
  • Understand and follow ITAR compliance processes.

System Document & Requirements Management

  • Track delivery schedules for internal and vendor technical documentation (e.g. TRDs, IRDs, ICDs, CDRLs, SDRLs).
  • Ensure timely release and version control of all system-level technical data.
  • Resolve document/data issues and provide clear reporting to program management.
  • Support configuration verification during major program milestones and reviews.

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s or College Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
  • Familiarity with Configuration Management standards and tools.
  • Strong documentation and version control discipline.
  • Experience in Data or Configuration Management (2+ years preferred).
  • Experience working alongside HW, SW, Systems, and Test teams.

  • Strong knowledge of digital communication systems, including modulation techniques, error correction methods, and RF systems.
  • Proficiency with design and simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or similar. Experience with DSP programming is a plus.
  • Experience with making trade-offs between performance and cost at the component and the system level.
  • Experience with the full lifecycle of hardware and modem designs – from inception, design, production, and fielding.

 
The successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and obtain Reliability Clearance.

Our partner is seeking an IT Infrastructure Architect to oversee the architecture and design of essential IT infrastructure for the constellation, including cloud and data centres. This position will include deliverables, documentation, strategy, and the final design, working cross-functionally across Network and Cloud Engineering.

Key Responsibilities for the IT Infrastructure Architect:

  • Define and maintain hardware standards, preferred vendors, and support models across multiple data center environments.
  • Participate in project and stakeholder meetings as needed.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine resource requirements, project future capacity needs, and provide cost estimations.
  • Support data center engineering efforts with rack layout planning, as well as cooling and power modeling.
  • Work with architecture teams to design infrastructure solutions that align with established requirements, emphasizing availability and security.
  • Create documentation outlining the hardware architecture and supporting infrastructure services, including automation related to Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Contribute to the creation of infrastructure build guides and reference materials for the IT Infrastructure.

  • A degree in Computer Science, or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Over 7 years of hands-on experience with installing, configuring, and operating data center environments, encompassing servers, storage systems, and networking components.

  • At least 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-grade networks, including switches, firewalls, and associated monitoring tools.

  • Solid experience working with virtualization platforms such as VMware and KVM.
